Testing Ketones: Is It Normal For Ketones To Be Lower After A Workout?

YES!! it's absolutely normal for someone's ketones to be lower following a workout. So for me, I found out that after exercise ketones will always be lower as you are using them for energy (I assume). Especially weight training. Cardio, not so much.

I have measured before a weightlifting workout and had 1.7 as a reading. Then 10 minutes after workout  and 0.6 was the reading. Five hours later it was back at 1.9. This is blood tests. Then I did the same with just a cardio workout (elliptical for 50 minutes on level 12) before was 1.8, 10 minutes after 1.3, 5 hours later 1.7. So I always do weight training at the gym.

So, ketones going lower after a workout is normal, it does happen. No need to freakout.
