Water Formula: How Many Ounce Of Water Should Adult Drink Each Day?

I usually drink 3-4 liters a day, depending on my activities. Although, some medical practitioners recommends 3.5 Liters or 1 gallon of water a day, I would say just drink accordingly to your thirst. Drinking too much water is NOT good for you either.

A good way to measure is half your bodyweight (pounds) equals the number of ounces. Add 15 ounces per hour of exercise. You can use calculator online that relates to your weight. Remember, calculate half your bodyweight in ounces.

I wouldn't advise you do what most people usually do like recommending you just "drink a lot of water". This approach can get you tried and sluggish for the day. You need to match up your drinking capacity with your daily activities.

For me, when asked this question, my answer is 1 gallon ideally. I drink 170 a day, but usually get around 200. Mostly, I get to do 6 glasses. It all depends on your activities. Don't over do it.
