Can We Force Fat Loss On One Particular Spot Of The Body? The Real Facts Are Reviewed

I got a message through my email from one of my blog readers, she threw up this question...

Can you focus fat loss on the belly region only? I need help for reducing "belly fats". Everything on my body is great expect this area".

Well, the truth is.. You can't necessarily reduce fat on one area of the body. Your body will choose where it wants to burn fat. I have seen a lot of people that go through certain training, mostly extreme ones just to focus fat loss on one particular area. This trend is common with bodybuilders. They undergo certain programs that only expose them to few equipments.

Losing fats or building body mass requires all-round training of the body. It is not just focusing in one part, then neglecting the others. For example, when you go to the gym, you see a lot of bodybuilders focusing only on the chest region. They lift heavy weights for building the arm muscles, and neglects the leg region. The results - most of them experience disfigured physique that does not match the rest of the body.

Bodybuilding is a process that needs all part of your body involved. As you are training your chest region with heavy weights, you can add in some push ups to keep your elbows, arms, waist, legs, stabilize and strengthen.

However, diet and consistency in the gym might help you get there eventually, but having the mindset of spot reduce fat is not always recommended. Some parts of the body are just to difficult to burn fats. You might end up getting frustrated. Although, few bodybuilding programs are available, a step by step system to guild you, but it requires a lot of time and dedication for you to see your desire results.

Liposuction is other option people go for, however, it's one of the last places to go for men. Burning fats takes consistency in the gym and a healthy diet routine. You can't necessarily spot reduce fats. You need to stay patient and keep pushing.

  1. I guess you can tone up certain areas by doing weight training specifically for that area. I'm not an expert, so I'd like to know what you think.

    1. Well. It is possible, but not advisable. Bodybuilding is an all around process. Thanks
