How To Treat And Control Supplement Allergic Reactions

Supplements are taken so to help the body tackle certain health issues, disorders, defects or maybe to support the body system for an effective performances. These days, we take supplements for almost everything from weight control, testosterone boosting, energy, sleep, relaxation, immune and so on. But unfortunately, most of these supplements contain high quality ingredients that can react to other medications and cause adverse complications to someone with past health related issues.

Different types of people with different body system. A lot of factors goes into determining how you respond to certain medications. These includes genetics, past health record, environment, weather conditions, body mass and many more. The first two being the biggest factors. I have a friend who is allergic to certain dyes. It still boggles my mind why companies still need to dye their product. They seem extremely bad for health.

Some people experience different supplement reactions. For example, you don't expect two different persons to experience the same symptoms.

What have you notice? I did a research few years back on allergic caused by medications, supplements or certain treatments. I found that, people that react to these medications negatively, have low immune defence. Their body could not fight it, so it gave in. While others experience certain symptoms because that was their first time supplementing for that specific purpose. However, being the first time does not always mean one will experience symptoms or be allergic. It also got to do with other prescription you are currently taking, which is why it is recommended that you seek a doctor advise before consumption.

Do you check the ingredients?
Some ingredients are known to react negative to certain medications or different body system. Ingredients like caffeine, iodine, ZMA and much more have shown to interact with nitrates found in other prescription drugs, which may lower blood pressure to a dangerous levels which is bad for people with diabetes, high blood pressure and heart diseases.

What are your symptoms/reactions?
Are you sure you not just having these reactions because you took the wrong diet with the medications. Also, your reactions might be from side effects resulting from consuming contaminated substances. Some supplements react greatly with high sodium or cholesterol foods.

Maybe not enough water? If you are experiencing symptoms like hands becomes so painfully swollen, breakouts, vomiting or nausea, headaches, feet swelled or stomach pains. You might want to take a couple of days off from it and have it again after a few days away.

In conclusion, I would strongly advise you go get your kidneys checked by your PCP. I would be worried about rhabdomylosis. Might not be but, I would definitely go get a blood chemistry drawn and a urinalysis. I'm no doctor, but Benadryl usually helps with allergic reactions or go to the doctor and have him/her do an allergy test.
