Dieting Vs Appetite Suppressants- Which One Works Best For Weight Control

It is very important to keep your weight under control, not only is it good for confidence boost, but also for an overall well-being. However, some of us always feel hungry, our work activities allows us to burn more energy, thus, we want to eat more. It's natural to feel hungry, but, what if you find yourself always craving for food all the time. If you always feeling hungry right after you just ate, there's a good chance you'll gain weight. It is good to maintain a healthy weight and keeping it so for the rest of your life. However, you should not be so self conscious about your weight, as that can lead to a serious emotional trauma.

There are many ways to maintain your weight and prevent your body from gaining unnecessary one's. Dieting and appetite suppressants are two most known ways to control weight. Dieting, for example, is eating limited varieties or amount of food for medical reasons or because you want to loss weight. During this time, you eat low-fat, sugar/salt-free foods - with fewer calories than normal. You can become a dieter in a long run - people who eats less food or only food of a particular type in order to loss weight.

Another way to control weight is by using appetite suppressants, also known as diet pills. Appetite suppressants helps trigger your brain to stop thinking about food or to feel hungry. They are drugs designed to curb hunger, and in turn, help you lose weight. They are often seen over-the-counter as "slimming pills". However, some manufacturer brand targeted their drugs to prevent one of the body functions from working normally.

Appetite suppressants are very different from when one decides to go on a diet. In dieting, you are restricting yourself from eating less or certain types of food to lose weight, but, suppressants works by preventing you from wanting to eat. One usually feel more fuller when they take appetite suppressants. This drugs trick your brain into believing that you are not hungry and that your stomach is full.

Does appetite suppressants or dieting works?

Yes, they both, but not as you hope. Dieting is good in some ways, because it helps with fewer calories. You eat less and also stick to food that will keep your body healthy. However, dieting can also lead to self-starvation or an eating disorder called anorexia.

People who diet, tend to gain back twice as much weight loss before. Also, most people revenge by eating food which they have been trying to avoid for day when they realize things ain't going well for them. Appetite suppressants on the other hand, are not magic pills, moreover, studies have shown that appetite suppressants helps people to lose at least 10% of their body weight over a 6 month period. To further explain this, a person who weighs at 150 pounds, with appetite suppressants would lose at least 10 pounds. Of course, some people lose a lot more weight, but others loss less, and that depends on many factors which also include lifestyle change.

Who should diet or use appetite suppressants?

Appetite suppressants are not actually weight-loss pills, but they might still help you lose weight, they are mainly used to curb hunger. Dieting and appetite suppressants are not meant for everybody. People who would require appetite suppressants would be actors/actresses, athletes, model, ballet dancers, people into gymnastics or in rare case soccer players - who need to stick to a specific weight in order to perform optimally at their jobs or careers.

If you have lean body, dieting might not be a good choice for you. Most obese or overweight people have become very attached to high calorie foods and have a hard times sticking to a healthy diet, so dieting might be of great help.

Some appetite suppressants are also used to treat obesity, they focus more on the weight-loss aspect. They work by preventing your body from absorbing a portion of fats from the food you eat. Example of this is Phentemine (Qsymia).    There are also many supplement on the market that claim to be an appetite suppressants. But, these products have not been approved by the FDA.

Before you consider trying appetite suppressants, you need to take some time to learn what they are and how they work.

What are appetite suppressants? Are they safe

Some might be, but like I said earlier, they won't work for everybody. Our body reacts to drugs differently. Like many other medication, they might cause minor or dangerous side effects. Most of the appetite suppressants available for sale today don't deal directly with the stomach. They deals with hormones, the central nervous system and the brain. One way that these appetite suppressants do this is by increasing the levels of the "feel good" hormone called serotonin - they are responsible for regulating your mood, appetite and sleeping pattern. These suppressants are quite active and very effective. However, there have been many reported cases of negative effects that comes with taking these pills.

In recent years, two appetite suppressants - Sibutramine (Reductil) and Rimombant (Acomplia) we're taken off the US and UK market. Sibutramine, for example, was used in weight loss drugs for years and banned by the FDA agency in 2014. Both Sibutramine and Rimombant went through series of clinical trials and it was revealed that they can cause dangerous side effects like :-

*Heart attack

*Stroke

*High blood pressure

*Hormonal imbalance

*Emotional breakdown, or

*Suicide feelings

Therefore, it is important to understand the different types of appetite suppressants available for you and determine which would work best for you.

All these medications mentioned above are not available on the NHS, but are available on private prescription. The only approved appetite suppressants in the UK and US includes Phentemine and Diethylpropron.

If you want to lose weight, speak to your doctor, he/she might advise you on what to do, which includes eating healthy, exercising more and a change in lifestyle. Or also suggest some therapy for you to manage any emotional issues. Crash diets rarely work, and can be dangerous to your health. However, if you decide to diet or use an appetite suppressants, know that the success of taking such steps is highly dependant on your current diet and physical routine.

Appetite suppressants or natural appetizers

Over the internet, we have high trade in diet pills (appetite suppressants), which has allowed people desperate to lose weight to buy illegal and potentially dangerous drugs and herbal supplements.

Unlicensed online pharmacies and shops have played on people insecurities, trust and also putting customers lives in danger. This have caused certain brands to be banned in both the UK and the US market.
It is very important that you do things safely. Instead of appetite suppressants, you can try natural one's.

Natural appetizers can be simply describe as foods or drinks that curb appetite or craving to a reasonable degree. Natural appetizers can be fruits, vegetables or one containing caffeine - you can say they are stimulant, and others might be non-stimulant like water.

Here are few natural appetizers you can try:-

*Oats
Oats contains high amounts of dietary fiber and lots of protein. They are low in calories, this make it suitable to add to your diet.

*Coffee
Coffee is a stimulant containing caffeine shown to help aid fat loss by increasing the metabolic rate of the body.

*Green tea
Excessive amounts of caffeine can cause jitters, fatigue, tiredness and change of mood, which is why green tea are good substitution for coffee.

*Egg
They are very rich in protein, they contain low calories which is good for weight control.

Yogurt and avocado are also worth adding to your diet.

Appetite suppressants might help, but eating right, your diet is very important. The truth is, we don't have a total control over our appetite. If your stomach need food, give it food. Don't take dieting as a thing thing. Dieting is best for reducing calories, they are not suitable to go beyond for a long period. Even appetite suppressants, after taking for a long time, there is a risk for you to start eating beyond the avoided amount again. This has been noted many obese people where they have gained back their original weight within a month after dieting or using appetite suppressants. Therefore, it's important that you stick to a proper diet plan regardless of what method you choose to control weight.
