gains is definitely a thing. Keto is a lifestyle that teaches your body how to efficiently burn fuel. It's not purely about weight loss, it is about total health. With Keto you don't lose weight to get healthy, you get healthy to lose weight.

It's my understanding that you can't really gain weight on a true Ketogenic diet unless you are lifting heavy weights to build muscle. The only way you can gain weight muscle or fat. So, you'd have to be really overeating and/or lifting heavy to gain (this is if your body is already running well and fat adapted in Keto to begin with). I look at it as a healthy way of eating which will allow your body to get to it ideal weight based on your genetics. If you are underweight, eating healthy fats, proteins and veggies will give your body the nutrients it needs to build muscle and tissue. If you are overweight, same but keeps insulin spikes low and allows fat loss. (Link vegan good, bad and ugly)

I finds it impossible to gain weight doing Keto. First thing you need to do is, ask yourself "what your goal for doing Keto? Do you want to gain fat or do you want to build muscle, which is heavier than fat?

Maybe just getting healthier?

Mostly likely the protein and fat allows you to build muscle. You may want to look into the carnivore diet instead. Veggies can be "detoxifying" and remove weight. Checkout Joe Rogan Or Bobby's perspective for more information on this. I have heard that drinking whey protein shake after midnight will also help, but that you will have to research.

Muscle, fat, water, feathers, butter - all weigh the same. A kilo or pound of anything weigh a kilo or a pound. But muscle is tighter and takes up less space than fat on the body.
