So, how do you stop wasting calories on drinks you don't need? Like what drinks are you finding it hard to keep away from - alcohol, pop, juice or even tea?.

A lot of these drinks contains high calories, packed with sweetener and additives. If you check labels of every drinks you purchased, you will see few details written there. Some craft beer or low calories beer will do the magic for those who have weakness for wine. However, most people situation are the complete opposite. They can drink water all day long and have no desire for anything else. But some foods thou. Such individuals are locked up on chocolates. snacks, ice cream e.t.c

If yours is mainly juices and tea, you don't need to freak out. Tea isn't bad for you. Can you make your own tea for a healthier alternative? Just make homemade, and if you need sweetener, then a simple syrup that has no calories or macros. You can start by slowly removing all sugar from your tea. And that can be your main go-to drink. However, if you want to drink sweet tea, you can mix it with unsweetened coffee with just a tiny bit of cream and sugar free Torani syrup.

Find a replacement that satisfies you most of the time and leave the real deal for am occasional indulgence. Lord knows, we all love some sweet tea and can not live without it and can't abide most of the fake sweeteners. They just taste bad. However, I would recommend you slowly transitioned by trading out a quarter cup of sugar at a time with Stevia. You make your tea with straight Stevia and it is pretty good. No, it isn't full octane southern sweet tea, but it does the trick and whenever you go places that the real stuff is served, have a little and it is delightful. Another option you can try is to buy unsweetened tea and then sweeten it with Monk Fruit. You can also make your own organic lemonade by making a simple syrup with Monk Fruit and water and squeezing lemons in. It's soo good. Warm water with lemon in the morning in a 32oz water bottle. Or you can buy ice drinks - it's sparkling ice. The lemonade taste amazing and it is just 5 calories.

For the sugar replacement/alternative, you can start by using 1% milk in your tea and using MiO instead of juice packets or concentrates. Have unsweetened soya milk to your tea and it should be 15 calories. And if you don't have any room for honey or milk in your macro's, you can drink your tea plain. Peppermint tea can also be a good replacement. Try making your own sparkling water and add wedges of lime and fresh mint.

As for juices...if you can, get like a Soda-stream and then just carbonate water and add the fruit drops. Or you can just use fruit drops in regular water, if you don't want carbonation. You can start by mixing flavored carbonated water with, like half the juice you were used to and then decreased to a quarter of the juice. Eventually more juice and just the flavoured carbonated water. However, if you think the juice is too sweet for you, just don't buy the juice. Or aim for no juice until your water goal is met for the day. Water down your juice little by little. You can stop having them in the house - the only way. Then go for big reusable water bottles and a filter system and just started drinking water all the time.

Pepsi Zero, Coke Zero, Cherry 7up Zero and Gatorade Zero are great crutch for that when you are bored of water and need something sweet and flavorful, but only have one at night.  Also knowing if you drink your calories, you will end up being really hungry later on. However, If you need something to sip at night, you can switch to Kombucha. Full of probiotics and low in calories. You can just drink Kombucha when you want soda and drink, and drink a protein shake when you want a sweet drink. Zero calories drinks are good but if you don't cut yourself off completely, you crave it more. You can take diet coke at lunch and the rest of the day you chugging water; cutting it little by little.

Also, try have a diet soda every now and then, or make calories free healthy soda, your favorite flavor of tea mixed with Club soda - sweeten with Stevia. You can choose not to drink soda. Seltzer water with MiO or fresh squeezed fruit in exchange for soda. You will either get used to them or hate them and switch to water permanently.

The hardest for most people was taking calories out their coffee. They love taking it with creamer. Fortunately, you can now drink your coffee with Stevia. It is not enjoyable but it's better. You can have your coffee with creamer on your cheat days. If you are used in skipping water for coffee in the morning, you can. keep your coffee around 100 calories and force yourself to drink that water in between each cup of coffee. You can allow some alcoholic beverages like once or twice a month. If you want Starbucks, you blend coffee with chocolate protein and almond milk.

Counting calories in all areas can be crazy sometimes; but it worth the effort. If you are still finding this hard, stop drinking pop, juice, ice tea e.t.c. Try to stick to water as much as you can. Find water additives like MiO. Start eating fruits like apple. Replace sugar with maple syrup, honey or agave. Not more than a teaspoon of sugar. Drinking water and lemon can get boring.
