How Are You Getting Your Proteins? What's the best source of proteins at home, office or before hitting the gym.
You can get your protein through various means like chicken, yoghurt, eggs, cheese, potatoes, red meat, peanuts and even protein shakes or bars. A good source of protein is needed for a healthy wellbeing. You need to get the right amount into your system. Most of us are always in a hurry - you want to train, shower, and leave from the gym to work in the morning before work...so many things to do. With much activities, you end up going for junk or fast foods.
You may ask... What can I do for breakfast or dinner since I can't get home to cook?
There are various form to get your proteins. If you go to a gym or over the internet, you probably have heard of protein shakes, powers or bars. They are what most bodybuilders take after workout. These comes in many shapes and flavors to choose from. Protein shakes are very good source of protein, they are very nutritious and gives complete advantages as other source.
Here is what you can try:-
* Before going to the gym, you can option in for eggs. Eggs are a "go to" for other main source of proteins. You could train with few unseasoned scrambled eggs in your belly. You may find it difficult to train normal with other source like cheese, chicken, potatoes or hit sauce
* To work, just take your lunch box with you. You can go for protein pancakes or potatoes. Potatoes actually contributes to your protein a fair amount. It is recommended to eat 3-4 a day so to prevent heart burn.
* For lunch, turkey sausage and turkey bacon are the best with Greek yoghurt. Also, protein snacks can be added throughout the day.
* At dinner, chicken/beef or scrambled eggs. You don't need high amount of red meat. Red meat is for iron, but chicken is one of the safest protein sources. Note that processed chicken is a carcinogen, so as long as it's natural free range, you are good. It is very recommended to always rotate your protein.
* Before you go to bed, mix up some protein power.
Consuming the right source of protein is good for the body, and the right amount is needed. It is very bad to eat chicken everyday.
If you are to go to the gym, it is a good thing to take your protein shakes with you.
Why not eat before you leave? You need the food energy for the workout anyway. You can have breakfast on the way to the gym and have post-workout shakes after workout. Oatmeal with 4 boiled eggs, best breakfast ever.
